About

Launched on 21 April 2021, The Southeast Asianist is a blog of Southeast Asian Studies, for all Southeast Asianists. We welcome submissions from academics, practitioners and students. Particularly, we encourage meta-study perspectives on the field of Southeast Asian studies. Our focus is not on covering contemporary issues in the region per se - instead, we seek to contribute to meta-level discussions on the discipline of Southeast Asian Studies.
